A Discussion with Meg Lundsager, Executive Director for the United States division of the International Monetary Fund.
Meg Lundsager is the Executive Director for the United States division of the International Monetary Fund. As Executive Director for the U.S., Lundsager is a member of the IMF's Executive Board, responsible for conducting the day-to-day business of the IMF. It is composed of 24 Directors, who are appointed or elected by member countries or by groups of countries.
Prior to serving as Executive Director of the IMF, Lundsager served as an Atlantic Fellow at the London School of Economics and earlier as the Director of International Economics at the National Security Council. She has served in various capacities at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, most recently as the Director of the Office of Middle East and Asian Nations and the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Trade and Investment Policy.
Lundsager has served in the role of Executive Director of the IMF since 2007, when she was appointed by President Bush.
