A Conversation with Sean Glass, entrepreneur, investor, and founder of Accelerprise; and Collin Gutman, Chief Strategy Officer of Accelerprise.
Sean Glass - Founder of Acceleprise, YC '03
Sean is an entrepreneur and investor who co-founded the higher education focused online financial services firm, Higher One. At Higher One he served as founding president and then as part of the executive team as Chief Marketing Officer for 8 years. Higher One went public in 2010 (NYSE:ONE). Prior to Higher One, Sean helped found the Yale Entrepreneurial Society. He is currently a Venture Partner at Novak Biddle Venture Partners and CEO of EmployInsight. Sean has been featured in numerous publications including the Wall Street Journal, NY Times, Washington Post, and Entrepreneur Magazine.
Collin Gutman, Partner, YC '10
Collin was the first non-technical hire at EmployInsight. Now Chief Strategy Officer, Collin has spearheaded EmployInsight’s enterprise sales effort. Previously, Collin worked at New Enterprise Associates (NEA), a leading venture fund, in the Chevy Chase office. Collin also worked for Challenge Games, which was acquired by Zynga.
Acceleprise is an accelerator focused on enterprise technology founded and anchored by investor and entrepreneur Sean Glass. It is the first independent accelerator focused solely on enterprise technology in the United States. Over the next three years, Acceleprise will invest in over 60 companies focused on building web based software to solve large organizations’ problems. Acceleprise provides both capital and community support to enterprise entrepreneurs while they work from a shared office in Washington DC over four months.
